Paternity after the fact

If a child is born before the marriage accoured and my husband signed the birth certificate and has raised the child & the child is now eighteen years.
Q1: Will the child have to take a paternity test?
Q2: Can paternity be brought up now that the child is eighteen?

Paternity is usually relevant for only custody/visitation issues, which are only issues until a child turns 18. Can you provide more background?

My Husband is telling me that since my son was born before we got married that he will have to have a paternity test done because he is now questioning that he is his.

I’m so sorry to hear that your husband is behaving this way - it must be devastating for you and your son. Unfortunately, the issue of paternity has no more legal relevance in your situation. It is now a private family matter. Your husband cannot force your son to take a paternity test anymore than you can get your husband to accept that your son is his.

Ok, thank you for letting me know. I appreciate you help so much.
