I just realized that on the Petition where it says Petition For, I checked dissolution, but did not check Marriage.
In the Petition I did state we are married etc.
Do I need to file an amended?

If you believe that this will be a true default divorce, meaning that your spouse will NOT participate in the proceedings and will NOT file any paperwork, I would amend the petition just to err on the side of caution. If your spouse is going to participate in the proceedings, I probably wouldn’t amend the petition initially, though depending on how the case proceeding, I might do so later.
In any case, it is better to make changes so that later you do not have problems according to the law
